In 1991, Harvest Time was founded by Reverend Houston Brumit, former Assistant Pastor of Glad Tidings, a sister Assemblies of God church.  Glad Tidings welcomed the new church and lent support in its formative years.  In its first year, Harvest Time's services were held in several rented facilities.

In 1992, the church welcomed Irby and Andrea McKnight as pastors.  As the church grew and matured, a more permanent building was purchased at 1515 North Travis Street.  In just a short period, this building was bursting at the seams, and two services were formed on Sunday morning to help accommodate the growing congregation.

By 1995, the building on Travis Street was paid for, and the church started saving for a site to move to that would hold the future growth.  In 1998 the church purchased thirty acres at the corner of FM 1417 and Hwy 56 in ShermanIn March of 2000, the congregation moved into a beautiful 39,000 sq. ft. facility which serves as its current facilities today.

Under the leadership of Pastor Irby and Andrea, the church continued to grow with an emphasis on reaching all generations for Jesus.  Sadly, in June of 2005, Andrea McKnight passed away.  For the next two years, Pastor Irby continued to serve as the pastor of Harvest Time until his resignation on July 1, 2007.

On October 24, 2007, Jonathan Faggart and his wife Janet were elected as senior pastors.  Pastor Jonathan is a gifted teacher and strong leader with many years of experience in pastoral ministry.  Pastor Jonathan and Janet have a passion to make the Bible relevant and applicable to everyday life.  Reaching Grayson County with the love of Jesus Christ is the goal of Harvest Time.
